Here is a list of  STEAM skills that students will develop as a result of exposure to LiSI content  STEAM standards have been reviewed to ensure that National Standards are being met:

Educators often come up against the argument that the skills and concepts they are teaching in class have no real connection to daily life. When it comes to STEAM concepts, there are a million ways to capture the imagination and interest of students who are probably already using them every day. Give your students an opportunity to learn how STEAM skills and concepts are important for everyone. Specialty, S. (2019, February 14). All STEAM skills are important and all STEAM areas are equally important and will be covered in the Leadership in STEAM Initiative that is put into place: Scenario-based ideas for art-integration activities

What is Matter?  Properties of Clay, Properties of Sand, Force and Motion, Body Structures, Plant life/ Botanicals, Animal Traits, Life Cycle, Color Theory, Principles of Light and Sound, Insoluble Painting, Kinetic Sculpture, Symmetry, Weather, Magnets, just to name a few area which involves art integration
